What is DMCA?
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a U.S. copyright law that provides a process for copyright owners to request removal of infringing content from online services.
Reporting Infringing Content
If you believe that content on ForbiddenTome infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@forbiddentome.app with the subject line DMCA Takedown Request.
Your notice must include:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email address
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content on ForbiddenTome
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Counter-Notice
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to support@forbiddentome.app with the subject line DMCA Counter-Notice. Your counter-notice must comply with DMCA requirements (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)).
Repeat Infringers
ForbiddenTome will terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
